TYPICAL 2 YR. OLD PRAYER!

So, as the night is coming to a close, sun setting behind the beautiful mountain to the west of us, I I say those dreaded words that all kids hate hearing. "Time for bed." Oh the moaning & the groaning that spews out the kids' mouths! As we parents all do, we somehow endure the treacherous "wind down" episodes that just seem to drag on for at least another hour after our announcement that it's bedtime. And we do it NIGHTLY! YES, WE DO IT NIGHT AFTER NIGHT AFTER DARN BLASTED NIGHT AND WE LIVE THROUGH IT!?! Baths, pajamas, brushing teeth, one more drink, one more question about the strange mark on my foot, one more hug, one more visit to the bathroom down the hall, one more piece of homework that I "forgot" to do, etc., etc. We all know too well what I am speaking of. In fact, I wouldn't doubt if you reading this somehow gave you that blood-boiling feeling that I experience when I have had enough for the day and need my "down"time. Well tonight after all commotion is settled down we pray. Amber's turn for prayer(with a little help of course), she was anxious to get it over with for she knew that she could watch that DARNED Dora the Explorer for the 8th time today as soon as prayers were done( I have to admit that I have used that cartoon as a bribe at crucial times and it helps me in the morning get my 26 min. long, uninterrupted shower that gets me goin'). Her prayer...."Henly fodder, sank you day, sank you food, sank you Doya(Dora)....then screams a loud, "AMEN"(with her arms stretched toward the sky.) Cute, darling, innocent, precious, heartfelt & just down-right short & simple----my kind of prayer.
